Do not worry. You have always written before and you will write
now. All you have to do is write one true sentence. Write the truest
sentence that you know.
~ Ernest Hemingway in A Moveable Feast
I'm in the business of writing. That's my job and I adore it but words are hard to come by and I get discouraged along the way. E's favorite author is Hemingway, I think. I'm reading "A Moveable Feast" and dreaming of living in Paris - least to say, my sister had a chance to live and breathe Paree but decided to ditch it altogether to return to Singapore, a choice that still puzzles me. We've just returned from our NY visit - I slept through most of the 7-8 hour car-ride (I'm saying this sheepishly).
8 good things about mini-vacation:
- mom-in-law: funny and totally adorable
- finishing 3 murder-mysteries by witty Ayelet Waldman (E finished all 4!)
- home-cooked goodies: meatloaf, stuffed peppers, baked salmon.
- finishing work I brought (hey, I said it was a mini-vacation - oh, did I mention I have a type A personality?)
- winning an ebay auction: vintage vogue knitting books
- planning the next crafting project and eyeing fabrics from repro depot
- coming home and receiving lovely mail
- coming home and watching season 3 of project runway
Inspira, where are you - bogged down by before-vacation-work?
Missing you, exp.
