I've been inspired by handmade stuff over the past year or so - there's this huge movement here in the US. I hope it's not a fad. A serendipitous googling for "fashion school in Sgp" led me to Dorothy Loh's blog Drastic Measures. Indie in spirit, Dorothy left her investment banking job to pursue her passion which led to the birth of madbeautiful. It started out as an Etsy shop (did I say I love Etsy?) and she is now in the works of creating her own clothing line Dotted Line. I'm always in awe of people with the spunk and guts to pursue what matter most to them. Not to mention that I "stalk" people who have just started out and offer candid perspectives on the boos and ahhs of following their hearts' desires. Dorothy, I'm looking forward to seeing great loveliness from you!
