I don't normally like honey. 

Nor I normally use it in cooking or baking.

But the packaging for this particular brand designed by Ah&Oh (what a cute name!)  is too adorable at first glance - I just can't simply ignore it. :-)

Party Time!

Well . . . not in another week or so.

We are celebrating Nad's birthday.

Again.

For the 3rd time. This coming weekend.

This time in London.

With her dadi (grandma in Urdu) and Chachu (that's uncle in Urdu, I think) and almost all of M's family and friends in that part of the world.

We have not sorted out anything.

I'm hankering over these cute cookies in the meantime.

I Dream of Cake

Back to dreaming.

This time, back to dreaming of . . . cakes.

Baked

Literally too. With the current hot humid and clammy weather.

The temperature is about 32 degrees celsius now, in the apartment and in a bit, I will succumb and shower one more time. A night cap if you will. Of sorts.

But anyways . . .

~e~ recently text me to find out where to get good baking chocolate. I pointed her here - where I usually haunt for my baking needs. It's like my candy-store. Literally.

Alas, I haven't been doing a lot of speciality baking the last year so have not had the pleasure of going down the aisles and seeing what's here on this island.

But I have been itching to do one last bit of baking before Cookie comes along. Something chocolatey. For M. For being a good husband who gives me back-rubs I am achy. And for being the good Abba ("Daddy" in Urdu) giving Cookie baby massages every night.

When I saw these pictures of products available here via flickr, I wonder why I don't bake more often before!

Cookies!

I constantly find myself at 10 at night, with my head half-way disappearing in the recesses of our fridge - not to cool myself in this rather hot and humid (and clammy) weather, but more in search of a food source.

My parents just popped by our apartment with food (chicken murtabak and fresh sugarcane juice which latter I have been meaning to have since early last week but too lazy to go get at lunch) - bless them. :-)

Now as I am about to dig into the food and juice, I can't help but wish I have these to taste :

They are real cookies, I assure you.

I may think twice about eating them pre-pregnancy (they look too beautiful!) but when you're hungry and pregnant, it's all about digesting them. I bet they taste as good as they look . . . ;-P

don't you just love mini? feisty and sweet, cute (like, hot-chick cute) and witty :) love her to bits, i bet moxie shares lots of her traits!

i'm up at an odd hour - 5.30am - my tummy molded to an unnatural shape. E and I swear we've got twins but the doc's transducer hasn't caught it yet.

anyhoo, i'm sitting here eating a store-bought croissant (which is pretty good given that it comes from a factory) and drinking hot tea and clearing out my inbox and saw this...

Crafted by Neapolitan Printing & Company of the choc-o-bama fame, these amy ruppel chocolates promised marvelous flavors: lychee, green tea and five-spice cashew enclosed in either a bittersweet or milk chocolate shell, all wrapped up in a neat little year of the ox box with a 7x7 print. life is like a box of chocolates indeed!
