repurpose

i have a Marimekko Pepe fabric which was affixed to an artist canvas to be hung in the little boy's room. Alas! My mom dislikes it so much that it's been put away behind a dresser. I'm thinking of repurposing it as a quilted playmat for the kids - that way, we can put it away whenever the sight irks my mom - hee!

p.s. the mom seems to dislike all marimekko fabric in my home - gray Unikko and orange Hurmio... oh well...
