nitzan design

the renovations are underway, we expect to move into our new home come mid march. because we are conservative when it comes to money matters, and that i'm extremely picky (and E would add that I have expensive taste <-- point of contention, really), we staged our renovations so that it will only be completed in june or july. the lessons i learned from the renovation are plenty, among those, the uno numero is "pick the right contractor". the right one dissipates your headaches, chases you around for decisions, comes back with a better idea than yours, could take "no" for an answer, probe your choices, recommends trustworthy suppliers and updates you on the reno progress. mine's a perfectionist, a trait that i now appreciate tremendously. although, our aesthetics can sometimes be poles apart. a compromise i can tolerate. i do wish, that i can afford a design consultant - someone who could do all the errands for me and bounce off design ideas with. and in my dreams, Nitzan Design's philosophy fits the bill perfectly...

ooh nitzan's pics are so gorgeous! love love love!! where's your new place?

and... hmm.. is there really a "right contractor"? from our experience, and having heard enough horror stories, there doesn't seem to be any good ones... only the "less bad" ones...
