Upstairs, Downstairs

I find myself admiring stairs, staicases, railings and banisters. More so than usual these days.

Perhaps it's due to the fact that I am still trying to find inspiration in everyday material to spruce up the dated "old-school" iron and wood block look of the staircase we have in the apartment we purchased.
