Cambodia

M and I spent the long Chinese New Year weekend in Siem Reap and Angkor.

We had a fabulous time putting up at FCC Angkor - I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to go to Siem Reap.

Siem Reap is a beautiful place.

Despite the genocidal Khmer Rouge iron hand rule in the 70s, and the still struggling backdrop of her people, Cambodia welcomed us with open arms. Her people are always smiling no matter where we go. ~ Inspira

did you climb up that steep flight of stairs? When I got to the top I remember panicking and thinking how the *@!$ am I going to get down?!?

Mini: Yes I did, many times over. I think my curiosity got the better of me. And after all that fun, I was cursing myself silently, studying the steps before actually getting down.

Documentaries show that you are supposed to go down the way you go up, facing the steps, so I did that. So unglamourous but 'eck, it was the safest way to get down (literally hugged the walls, steps, pillars on the way down). LOL
