My Eyes are Open

Have you ever been in a situation where a song is playing and you just thought "Hey, this is me?"?

A song was playing "for" me a few months ago. With a video to boot. Across the crowded hallway, above the cacophony of sights and sounds of the people at Cathay Cineleisure, the melodic voice of Gary Lightbody and Snow Patrol boys' delicately refined pop funk sounds.

There are a few songs that I grew up with, listened to when I get my heart broken, etc. But the first time I head "Open Your Eyes", tears welled up in my eyes. M was with me and though I didn't tell him then, I want to tell him now that yes, my eyes are open. ~ Inspira
