Un conte d'un coeur et d'une tête

M and I have been at it furiously. No, before you flash me that cheshire grin, we are not talking about that - get your head out of the gutter. (Yes, I know who amongst you who actually thought I was referring to that.) Tsk tsk tsk.

Right. M and I have been actively seeking for an apartment for our holiday in Paris. 10 days in Paris is too long a period for us to be at the mercy of chefs churning out suspecting foods on unsuspecting tourists like us.

Our research - my research actually (all that education is being put to good use!) - shows that the period we are intending to be in Paris - October - is one of the busiest in a typical Parisian calendar. Trade shows, conventions and the likes. And to top it all off, it is the Rubgy World Cup. We can't complain about the Rugby World Cup as M and I will be amongst the crowd sporting the colours of our teams - Go All Blacks! --> M is rolling his eyes at this I bet, and donning his gold and green. :-P

So, the question remains : Do we rent an apartment in the city centre at EUR 400 more? One opposite beautiful gothic Saint Eustache cathedral; set in a beautiful bohemian chic area where markets and good mix of fashion headquarters and lively indie boutiques abound? One that doesn't require us to get on the metro much apart from a metro within walking distance which would take us direct from Paris' Charles de Gaulle Airport. Or do we rent one in the 19th arrondissement overlooking Parc des Buttes-Chaumont at EUR400 less which will require us to rely much on public transportation during our holiday?

Choices choices choices! My heart and head is not working together on this and M is being a sweetheart and allowing me to go with the one my heart desires. ~ Inspira
