a friend whom i "met" over the amazing internet wrote recently. we've never met but i have a feeling that it doesn't really matter. i used to view online relationships with skepticism, not anymore. isn't it weird that we are "wired up" in this way? i met my partner in crime this way too and we click like castanets (haha, kooky metaphor).
anyhoo, her email reminds me of these west elm images i'd seen in their catalogs. i had similar 'danish'-looking chairs in my previous apartment - i got them for a mere US$5 each at the thrift store. thrifting, unfortunately, is not very popular here (and i daresay, among most asian cultures), something i miss sorely. and of course, i miss charlottesville dearly. i'm planning a thanksgiving dinner when E is here - i'm not even sure if we can find turkey and cranberries in singapore.
