Nano(oo) Nano(ooo)!

I grew up in the late 70s and early 80s watching Mork & Mindy. I remember running around the living room imitating Mork's famous hand-gesture screaming at the top of my lungs..."Nanooo nanoooo!".

Who would have thought some 20 years later, Apple would come up with a revolutionary product - ipod Nano.

M's dear friend from Ghana, Baba Dasun, recently gifted me a black ipod Nano. He could see far ahead in his conversations with me that music played an important part in my life. And what better way to keep me company on my commuting to and from work, than the 1GB of music the Nano can store.

Thanks Baba: I have yet to take the music out with me on the roads but I'm already dreaming of colour and keeping my Nano company in one of these cases by Fabrix. ~ Inspira

Nano is a prefix (symbol n) in the SI system of units denoting a factor of 10−9. It is often used in prefixing time and length units encountered in electronics and computer systems, like 30 nanoseconds (symbol ns) and 100 nanometers (nm).

It was confirmed in 1960 and comes from the Greek ν'νος, meaning dwarf.
